Energy Transfer Partners Fine Looms Over Pipeline Constructs (2)


Federal energy regulators are considering a $40 million fine against Energy Transfer Partners LP for alleged pipeline construction violations in Ohio and ordered further investigation of Midship Pipeline Company LLC for failing to restore property along its route in Oklahoma.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued a show-cause order to Energy Transfer to respond to allegations it intentionally and routinely used diesel fuel and other unapproved toxic products in its drilling mud to expedite construction of its 710-mile Rover Pipeline, Richard Glick, the commission’s chair, said Thursday.
