Evacuations underway in downtown Snoqualmie due to natural gas leak
Snoqualmie police tweeted just before 4:30 p.m. that there is a natural gas leak at Railroad Ave. and Southeast Newtown St. in downtown.
The Snoqualmie Fire Department is currently on the scene assisting with evacuations. Snoqualmie City Hall has opened for evacuees, sources told KING 5.
The executive director for the Northwest Railway Museum in downtown Snoqualmie told KING 5 the gas leak is not connected to the museum. It’s happening on the street in front of the museum, which has been under construction.
This is a developing story, check back for updates.
