Fountain Inn City Council Notes: $5M Public Works and Natural Gas facility plans
According to initial plans presented by construction company Reeves and Young, the property will include:
- 23,000 square feet with flexibility for future expansion
- A paved road into the property
- A gravel overflow employee parking area
- A service bay area with covered storage at the rear of the building
The facility is expected to break ground in June with construction completing in March 2023.

The establishment of a Main Street Improvement Grant program, a reimbursement-based program and $100,000 in funding for three separate grants, such as:
- Outdoor Expansion and Beautification Grant – will provide up to 50% of project costs up to $20,000
- Facade Improvement Grant – will provide up to 50% of project costs up to $10,000
- Outdoor Seating and Accessories for Tourism & Hospitality Businesses Grant – provides up to 75% of project costs up to $4,000
All grant applicants must hire contractors, complete and pay for all project improvements. Following proof of project completion and payment, the applicant will be reimbursed.

A request to annex and rezone 93 acres at 110 Lafayette Ave.
The applicants, DJ Acquisitions LLC and Doran Companies, plan to use 60 of those 93 acres to develop a low- to medium-density subdivision, said city administrator Shawn Bell.

An ordinance to prohibit trucks with over six wheels on Gulliver Street between South Weston and Gulliver streets and on Cannon Avenue between South Weston and Gulliver streets.
