Europa Oil & Gas hails the performance and potential of Lincolnshire well

Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) PLC chief executive Simon Oddie hailed the “excellent performance” of the Wressle well in Lincolnshire, saying it continues to exceed expectations.

On a restricted choke, Wressle has produced an average 666 barrels of crude per day, which has increased in the past seven days with the addition of 368,000 cubic feet of gas to 727 barrels of oil equivalent.

Early 2022 will see the completion of testing of the potential of the well, Europa said.

Europa Oil & Gas has a 30% stake in the well.

Next year the focus will be on identifying the ‘optimal method’ of monetising the gas extracted as well as finalising plans for the development of other hydrocarbon-bearing sequences to access the identified contingent resources.

CEO Oddie said: “I am delighted to report the continuing excellent performance of Wressle and look forward to the completion of testing of the full potential of this well and further announcements on the plans ahead.”
