Union Jack Oil Plc says Biscathorpe partners to appeal for planning permission
An appeal is planned to be submitted later in the current quarter.
The joint ventures partners had applied for permission to drill a side-track well plus testing and long term production at the Biscathorpe site, on the PEDL253 licence.
UJO owns a 45% economic interest in Biscathorpe and it noted that the decision to appeal follows the review of the council’s decision notice, along with planning and legal advisers.
Documentation is currently being prepared and the submission is expected in the first quarter of 2022.
PEDL253 is located in the South Humber Basin, within a proven hydrocarbon fairway and is described as ‘on trend’ with the Keddington oilfield and the Saltfleetby gasfield.
