Clarksville Gas and Water Department plans University Avenue, Franklin Street road closure for Water Valve work
Water service will be turned off on University Avenue from Main Street to Franklin Street and on Franklin Street from South Fifth Street to University Avenue. Low water pressure may also affect the vicinity.
University Avenue will be closed from Main Street to Commerce Street and Franklin Street will be closed from Childers Place to University Avenue during the work. University Avenue traffic will be detoured to Main Street and Commerce Street and Franklin Street traffic will be detoured to North Fourth Street.
Motorists are asked to slow down when approaching the work zone and be alert to utility workers and their equipment or choose an alternate travel route when possible.
The water valve work is anticipated to be finished, water service restored and the roads reopened on Tuesday, June 14th by approximately 5:00am.
