Residents told to shelter in place after gas line hit in SLC
The Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities says contractors hit an unmarked natural gas line in the area of 4th Avenue and Canyon Road.
Officials have closed off the area to traffic and residents are ordered to stay where they are.
Our contractors have hit an unmarked natural gas line at well project @ 4th Ave & Canyon Rd in #SLC. @DominionEnergy and @slcfire on scene. Canyon Rd (approx 200 N) closed to traffic, residents sheltering in place. More info TK. @LBriefer @slcgov
