Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) has commissioned a 40 MW capacity Photovoltaic Grid Connected Solar Power Project on government owned land at Haripar village in Jamnagar district at a cost of Rs.176.89 crore. The project has been successfully implemented with the help of engineering in just three months on uneven land and various natural drains.

G.S.E.C.L. (GSECL) has constructed a 40 MW Photovoltaic Grid Connected Solar Plant on government owned rocky land at Haripar village in Jamnagar which will generate 105.765 million units per annum. Among these, drinking water is also provided from a total of 5 reservoirs, 2 in Jamnagar district and 3 in Devbhoomi Dwarka district. This will benefit irrigation and drinking water facility in 21,061 acres of approximately 32 villages of Lalpur and Jamnagar talukas of Jamnagar district and 10,782 acres of approximately 23 villages of Khambhaliya and Kalyanpur talukas of Devbhoomi Dwarka district. It will overall benefit more than 65,000 people and pave the way for green prosperity with adequate facilities for irrigation and drinking water in the surrounding area of ​​31,843 acres.
